Upon closing of the Constitution Award For Best National Teacher PKN, the next day (26/11) Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Moh. Mahfud MD traveled to Bandung in order to become a speaker event a public lecture courses at KU 4708 Studium Generale West Hall Campus Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB), Bandung. In this public lecture, Mahfud MD conveyed the material with the theme "Building A Solid State Constitution". The event was participated in approximately 250 students from all majors with Moderator Prof. Zein al-Abidin.
Mahfud MD said, that when viewed from the process of forming the constitution, history has proven that the constitution is not the monopoly of the jurists. "The makers of the 1945 Constitution are not just a legal expert. What makes the Constitution the legal experts there are only two people, namely Moh. Yamin and Soepomo. It is precisely the dominant which makes the Constitution at that time was the technique that is also a graduate of ITB, which Ir. Sukarno, "said Mahfud.

Every citizen should understand the constitution because the constitution guarantees the rights of citizens and human rights in all aspects of life.
With that understanding, will form the attitude that a man and a citizen is "something very meaningful" and have the courage to demand the fulfillment of these rights. On the other hand, continued Mahfud, only with an understanding of the constitution also any citizen can carry out its obligations and participate in the implementation of national and state in accordance with basic principles and agreed upon in the constitution.
At the end of his lecture which was attended by Rector Prof. ITB. Akhmaloka, the dean and ITB academicians, Mahfud MD as former Minister of Defence during Gus Dur said, to prevent the destruction and reach the goal state, every effort must be returned, and routed to the ideals that have been agreed upon, in any manner in accordance with the basic -basis outlined by the constitution.
